Naked and Famous

Four equal measures make the Naked and Famous easy to remember: mezcal, yellow Chartreuse, Aperol and fresh lime. Joaquín Simó created the cocktail in 2011. Its brief ingredient list brings smoke, herbs, bittersweet orange and acidity into the same glass.
Use yellow Chartreuse for this specification; the green bottling is a different ingredient. Fresh lime is the only juice, and no extra syrup is called for. A fine strainer catches ice chips after shaking, leaving a clean surface in the coupe. The original presentation needs no garnish, so the peach-orange drink can stand on its own.
