Hummus for the First Thing on the Table
Recipe by Jeanine Donofrio and Phoebe Moore · Love and Lemons
Something to share before the meal makes hosting feel less rushed. Love and Lemons offers a hummus recipe based on chickpeas and tahini, with lemon, garlic and olive oil. It is a useful starting point for an appetizer spread that does not need a long list of components.
At the Brunch God table
Our serving suggestion: give the hummus a broad, shallow bowl and surround it with a small selection of vegetables and bread. Leave enough space for people to dip comfortably. Save the more elaborate presentation for another course; a welcoming first plate should be easy to approach and easy to pass.
